Eligibility

Are you interested in mentoring or being mentored? Check the criteria below to see if you’re eligible to be a mentor or mentee!

Mentees

AMP mentee applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Autistic (medical diagnosis, educational evaluation, self-diagnosed)
  • 14-22 years old
  • English language ability (written, spoken, or AAC)*
  • Resident of 7-county Twin Cities metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, or Washington County)
  • Have access to computer/tablet/phone/etc. with reliable internet connection
  • Able to commit to meeting with a mentor via Zoom for 1 hour per week during the upcoming school year
  • Willing to learn about participating in an affiliated University of Minnesota evaluation study of AMP during the upcoming school year

Mentors

AMP mentor applicants should meet the following criteria:

  • Autistic (medical diagnosis, educational evaluation, self-diagnosed)
  • 18+ years old
  • English language ability (written, spoken, or AAC)*
  • Resident of 7-county Twin Cities metro area (Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, or Washington County)
  • Have access to computer/tablet/phone/etc. with reliable internet connection
  • Able to commit to meeting with a mentee via Zoom for 1 to 1-1/2 hours per week during the upcoming school year
  • Willing to learn about participating in an affiliated University of Minnesota evaluation study of AMP during the upcoming school year
